Product & Functionality
Our boiling water taps connect to a compact boiler tank that fits neatly under your sink. The tank draws water from your mains supply, heats it to your chosen temperature (between 75-98°C), and stores it ready for instant use. This means you get filtered boiling water on demand, while your standard hot and cold water still work as normal
A 3-in-1 boiling water tap dispenses standard hot water, cold water, and filtered instant boiling water from a single spout, replacing your main kitchen tap. A 4-in-1 boiling water tap adds a fourth function: filtered cold drinking water, providing the ultimate convenience for your kitchen
Yes, safety is a primary design feature. Every ARNO tap includes a child safety lock mechanism that requires a specific action to dispense boiling water, preventing accidental activation. The spouts are also heavily insulated to ensure they remain cool to the touch, providing complete peace of mind.
Our taps are engineered to heat water up to 98°C, which is the optimal temperature for making tea and coffee without scalding the leaves or beans. Dispensing water at a rolling 100°C can cause spitting and is less safe. 98°C provides all the benefits of boiling water instantly and safely.
Yes, an ARNO tap is a highly eco-friendly kitchen tap. Unlike a kettle, where it’s common to boil more water than needed, our taps dispense the exact amount you require, saving water and energy. The well-insulated tank costs just a few pence per day to maintain its temperature, making it more energy-efficient than repeatedly boiling a kettle throughout the day.
Installation & Maintenance
The boiling water tap installation is designed to be straightforward for anyone with competent DIY skills. Each tap comes with a detailed instruction manual and we offer video guides to walk you through the process. The basic steps involve fitting the tap, connecting the boiler tank to the water supply and tap, and plugging it in. However, if you are not confident, we recommend hiring a qualified plumber, who can typically complete the installation in about an hour.
ARNO taps are built for durability and require minimal maintenance. We recommend wiping the tap with a soft cloth after use to prevent water spots. For a deeper clean, use a mild soap solution; avoid abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners which can damage the finish. The boiler tank itself requires very little attention, but you should check the connections periodically for any signs of leaks.
The integrated kitchen water filter system is designed to reduce chlorine, limescale, and other impurities from your mains water. This not only protects the boiler tank from scale build-up but also significantly improves the taste and odour of your drinking water, giving you a sustainable drinking water solution at home.
We recommend you replace the water filter tap cartridge every six months to ensure optimal performance and water quality. If you live in a hard water area or your household usage is particularly high, you may need to replace it more frequently. A slower flow rate or change in taste are good indicators that it’s time for a replacement. Forgetting to replace the filter may also void your warrant.
