Boiling Water Tap Installation Guide
Installing a boiling water tap is straightforward for a competent DIYer or any qualified plumber. Every ARNO tap ships as a complete kit — boiler unit, tap, filter, and all connections included — requiring only a standard 13amp plug socket and an existing cold mains supply under the sink. Most installations take under 30 minutes. This guide covers everything: requirements, first-time priming, model-specific pipe connections, and PDF manuals for every ARNO model.

Installation Requirements
Power Supply: Standard 220/240v grounded 13amp switched electrical outlet required under the sink. (Important: Do not connect power until installation is complete).
Water Pressure:
Minimum operating pressure: 1.5 bar
Maximum operating pressure: 5 bar (If mains pressure is above 5 bar, a pressure reducing valve is required).
System pressure when not in use: 1.0 bar.
Space Requirements: Ensure approximately 10-15cm air space on the sides of the boiler unit for ventilation.
Tools Needed: Adjustable wrench, Measuring tape.
Configuration Tips
To ensure seamless first-time activation, we’d like to emphasize a critical detail in Step 4:
- After selecting the Hot Water Icon to fill the boiler tank, please keep the icon activated until water visibly flows from your tap.
- Purpose: This step ensures the tank is fully primed during initial use, eliminating air pockets and enabling the system’s automatic activation protocol.
- Please wait after re-initiating the Hot Water Icon and observe the tap until water emerges (typically 2–5 minutes, depends on your water pressure).
Why This Matters: A completely filled tank is essential for the machine to self-calibrate pressure sensors and heating parameters. Interrupting this process prematurely may delay activation or trigger error codes.Once confirmed the water filled the whole tank, the system will finalize activation automatically.
The Critical "3-Minute Flush" Setup
Before turning on the heater tank, you must prime the system to prevent "Dry Burn" (Error E3).
- Connect all pipes.
- Do not turn on the electricity yet.
- Open the boiling water handle on your tap.
- Wait (up to 1 minute) until water begins to flow freely from the spout.
- Let the water run for at least 3 minutes to flush the system and filter.
- Only then plug in the power and set the temperature.
Connection Guide by Model
3-in-1 Setup: Connects Blue tube to Cold mains, Red tube to Hot mains. Boiler connects via the specific Y-connector arrangement.
4-in-1 Setup: Includes additional Cold Filtered water connections. Pay attention to the T-piece installation for the filter inlet.
5-in-1 Setup: Includes the Chiller unit. Ensure the blue braided tube goes to the chiller inlet and the red braided tube goes to the boiler.
Installation Manual
Frequent Asked Questions (FAQs)
The product is designed for household use and comes with a detailed installation guide. However, the manual states that it should be installed by a competent person. If you are unsure about the installation or plumbing connections, it is highly recommended to contact a qualified professional to avoid incorrect installation which could cause harm.
You must have a standard 220/240v grounded 13amp switched electrical outlet located under the sink. The appliance requires continuous power to function correctly. Important: Do not connect the machine to the power supply until all plumbing connections are complete and the tank has been flushed.
If your pressure is below 1.5 bar, the system may not function correctly or may show error codes.
If your mains pressure is above 5 bar, you must install a pressure reducing valve to the cold mains inlet to protect the system.
To prevent dry burning (often indicated by an E3 error), follow this specific sequence:
- Complete all pipe connections but keep the power unplugged.
- Open the boiling water handle on the tap.
- Wait until water begins to flow from the spout (this fills the tank and can take up to 1 minute)
- Let the water flow continuously for 3 minutes to clear air pockets and debris.
- Only after water flows freely, plug in the unit and set the temperature.
3-in-1: Connect Blue braided tube to cold water, Red to hot water. Use the specific Y-connector assembly provided.
4-in-1: Includes a filter connection. The T-plug is installed on the filter and connected to the No. 3 and No. 5 braided tubes.
5-in-1: Ensure the Blue braided tube connects to the Chiller tank inlet, and the Red braided tube connects to the Heating tank.
